9 Recruits in 90 Days for Mediaworks

Mediaworks, the region's leading online marketing company, has expanded its team with 9 new recruits within the past 90 days, to facilitate its epic number of client wins over the past 6 months.

The company, that now employs 34 members of staff was established in 2007 by young business executive of the year, Brett Jacobson, who set up the company after graduating from Northumbria University. It now works on behalf of some of the region's and nation's largest organisations.

The new starters, who come from a variety of backgrounds, have been recruited across Mediaworks' core disciplines; employing two new members of staff to develop Mediaworks' in house copywriting team as well as developing both its technical team and customer relationship management team.

The company that has more than doubled in size year on year since its inception has won a number of contracts in the past six months including stationary giant, Viking direct, international fashion house Alfred Dunhill, Regus office solutions as well as retaining clients such as ScS sofas and Eastern Airways among others. Mediaworks works with clients on their SEO (search engine optimisation), CRO (conversion rate optimisation) as well as other aspects of search engine marketing, gaining them increased online visibility to their target audience.

Mediaworks, who are based at Team Valley, is currently seeking new office premises to facilitate its growth and is currently exploring opportunities of a second office in London.

Brett Jacobson, MD of Mediaworks commented:

"It's great that we are securing such large contracts and that we are in a position to develop and offer jobs to people within the region. The guys that we have bought on board will bring so much to the company, and they have already proved to have great drive and enthusiasm.

"We are in talks at the moment with some major players so we are hoping to not only continue but exceed this growth over the next 90days."

Mediaworks has employed six recent graduates, one apprentice and two new starters with industry experience. Speaking of her appointment, newly appointed SEO copywriter and Sunderland university masters graduate, Katherine Weir, commented:

"Within two days I was working on content for our clients and I already feel like an integral part of the team. Every day is different, one day I can be writing about shoes, the next I can be writing about used cars!"

Adding to this praise, Jonathan Birch, who was appointed as online marketing executive after graduating with a masters in cultural management from Northumbria University, commented:

"everybody from the MD down to the new recruits are great to work with which makes it much easier to get up at 7am!"

Brett confirms:

"Mediaworks most recent growth is testament to the hard work and determination of the team and 2012 is set to be even bigger and better than the last."

Brett Jacobson won young business executive of the year, after fantastic success last year with clients such as ScS sofas, Van Mildert and Leisure Lake Bikes to huge success with their SEO and CRO campaigns. He was highlighted for his tenacious attitude and tremendous success.
