Gateshead College

Gateshead College is committed to offering an outstanding experience to all our learners. The College was ranked 'grade one' by Ofsted across all areas of teaching, leadership and success and was placed in The Sunday Times Best Places to Work in the Public Sector list.
The College offers education and training for 16-18 year olds, part time adult learning, higher education and training for employers and is also the most successful college provider of apprenticeships in the region, supporting more than 13,000 students each year.
We've invested over £80million in six state-of-the-art campuses across the region including our flagship site on Gateshead Quays, Baltic Campus, a dedicated Academy for Sport at Gateshead International Stadium, our Team Valley Campus which includes construction and automotive specialisms and a Skills Academy for Sustainable Manufacturing and Innovation, based opposite to Nissan UK.
We strive to be at the forefront of education and are continually developing and growing our curriculum. We're a lead partner in the North East's campaign to be a leading light in the low carbon industry, we've launched the UK's first electric vehicle apprenticeship and we're part of a national team working to integrate entrepreneurial thinking into everyday learning.
Our role extends beyond our own campus and we take pride in being an active member of our local community with regular fundraising, community group visits and primary school partnerships. We have also set up The Gateshead College Foundation which is a charity that provides funds to students who wish to study at the college.
