Foundation Degree in Leadership and Management

What is it?

A flexible, modular degree programme to develop high-performance leadership capability within the organisation. This award winning qualification will give the delegate a credible degree from Teesside University, voted Best University at the Times Higher Awards, along with industry-recognised accreditation through the Institute of Leadership and Management. This can then lead individuals on to an Honours degree and Masters programme.

Suitable for both operational, sales & support functions at manager level.

The Leadership & Management Foundation Degree will be supported by a range of one-day, skills booster sessions!

How to study for the degree?

Modules can be completed over a period of 24 months.
"Step on and Step off" according to requirements:

• The whole foundation degree
• Particular module or modules only
• Delegates will be required to attend a two-day master class (tutorial) every six - eight weeks
• Delegates will then have eight weeks to apply the learning to their work place by doing an assignment which will then be assessed
• All completed modules, which include the master class and assignment, will attract university credits
• Previous experience or qualifications in leadership & management will be taken into account
• The Foundation Degree will be completed over a period of 24 months
• The programme has been designed to be flexible
• You may 'Step on and Step Off' according to your work life balance

Who can apply?

There are two entry routes to the Foundation Degree programme. The eligibility criteria below reflects the norm that is applied to other foundation degree programmes. There are no age restrictions.

1. Individuals who have at least three years direct supervisory/management experience and currently in a management role, but have few academic qualifications
2. Individuals with academic qualifications - at least five GCSEs A-C or equivalent, including English and maths plus two A levels or equivalent (e.g. NVQ L3)
