The Chamber is working with local scale-up business Floe to provide flexible, community based coworking office spaces at the Stamp Exchange.
Based on Westgate Road in Newcastle, the Stamp Exchange has been fully refurbished to meet the needs of modern businesses and has quick and easy access to the shops, bars and restaurants within the city centre and Quayside areas.
The property, which is behind a listed façade, is set to be a hive of activity with businesses of all sizes and sectors using the dynamic space, and is a two-minute walk from Newcastle Central Station.
Empowering local businesses
The Chamber is dedicated to supporting local businesses in their growth and development. By working with Floe, we are providing opportunities to access a modern, serviced coworking space that promotes collaboration, creativity and productivity.
Reasons for the collaboration
- Increasing network of workspaces: The collaboration has created a thriving, community-based workspace in the centre of Newcastle, providing businesses with a high-quality work environment.
- Enhanced networking opportunities: The workspaces offered by Floe will serve as hubs for networking, allowing individuals and businesses to connect with like-minded professionals, share ideas and collaborate on projects.
- Support for startups and SMEs: The collaboration will particularly benefit startups and small to medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) by providing them with affordable and flexible workspace solutions that can adapt to their evolving needs.
- Workshops and events: The Chamber and Floe will collaborate to host a series of workshops, seminars, and events, focusing on topics such as business development, innovation and community building.
George Davies, services and facilities officer at the Chamber, said: “Working with Floe demonstrates a further commitment from the Chamber to support local businesses. By providing access to innovative workspaces, we are enabling business to thrive in a collaborative and creative environment.”
Hamish Rutherford, CEO of Floe, added: “We are excited to work with the North East Chamber of Commerce to offer our innovative coworking solutions.
