The UKCA (UK Conformity Assessed) marking is a new UK product mark that is used for goods being placed on the British Market. It is transitionally replacing the EU’s CE marking.

The UKCA marking came into effect on 1 January 2021. It was due to be mandatory in January 2022, however, to allow businesses time to adjust to the new requirements, you will still be able to use the CE marking until 1 January 2023 in most cases.

Once this time has lapsed, business may need to be double covered by both CE and UKCA marking. Full guidance: https://www.gov.uk/guidance/using-the-ukca-marking
