This week we caught up with the specialist consultants team to find out how they’re going further with Chamber membership.
Where are you based?
We are based in East Boldon!
How many employees do you have?
We have a flexible team from 3-6 depending on our needs!
Give us a brief overview of your business.
Divergent Consulting are a workplace neurodiversity partner. We work with workplaces to help them make the most of every brain in their business.
1 in 5 of us are neurodivergent; that means 1 in 5 of our staff, customers, investors (every stakeholder group really) are neurodivergent. That means it’s really important to get this right.
How do we support support businesses? There are 2 main ways that we can help. They are:
1) Targeted support for an individual – this is specific support for a neurodivergent person. This can be in the form of needs assessments to identify specific adjustments to remove barriers and help them be more productive in the workplace, or by providing neurodivergent specific coaching.
2) Support to help the business as a whole become more neuroinclusive (and therefore generally more inclusive). This is through education and consultation, to help build a more inclusive workplace by changing cultures and improving processes.

Tell us about a recent business success.
We recently partnered with a local occupational health provider to provide our neurodiversity services to their customers. This is allowing us to support a lot more people who work closely with their trusted occupational health provider.
How has being a Chamber member impacted your growth and networking opportunities?
Since joining the Chamber, I’ve had the opportunity to attend a range of networking events which have been fantastic for building relationships and connecting with like-minded professionals across the region.
Through the Chamber’s introductions, I’ve also received some exciting new business leads – opportunities that have the potential to really help shape the next stage of growth for Divergent Consulting.
