Give us a brief overview of your business.
Erudus is a market leading source of accurate allergy, nutritional and technical product data, populated by the food industry.
We enable the entire food industry to share product data clearly and easily. All the latest data on a product, from the allergens it may contain to the way it’s packaged, is instantly available to everyone in the supply chain simply by logging in.
Erudus takes the guesswork out of food production and sales, saving businesses time and labour. Our range of subscription packages ensure that everyone in the industry can access the information they need quickly and easily, and rely on it to be up-to-date.
Tell us about a recent business success.
Despite the foodservice and hospitality sector being hit hard by the COVID hangover, with many businesses in the industry which Erudus customers operate closing, Erudus have worked hard to grow and expand, and close in on our goal of being the industry solution for food data.
We recently received the clearest indication yet that that goal is in sight – as Erudus celebrated £1 million in annual turnover!
Why are you a Chamber Member?
When we decided to locate the new Erudus HQ in Newcastle-upon-Tyne, some 5 years ago, we did so because we wanted to contribute to and be involved in local industry and the community.
Along with supporting local food banks and initiatives like Food and Drink North East, becoming a member of the Chamber has helped us do this.
It’s a been a great resource for finding out about business in the North East and the players within it, and keep abreast of everything that’s going on – things that Erudus might want to get involved in. Additionally, we’ve found real value in the downloadable templates for everything from legal matters to HR, provided by the Chamber.
