North East-based corporate caterer, Olivia’s Kitchen, has recently expanded its operation
with the addition of 14 new team members as it sets its sights on future growth and
expansion across the region.
The caterer has welcomed to the team a new kitchen manager, seven production assistants,
a cafe assistant, kitchen porter, delivery drivers, and an administration assistant bringing
further catering expertise to the already experienced team. In addition, the catering experts
have further expanded their fleet of refrigerated vehicles, ensuring that all buffets arrive at
their location in perfect condition.
With more companies looking to outsource catering operations, employees making a return
to the workplace, and new businesses expanding into Newcastle, Olivias Kitchen has seen a
dramatic increase in the number of catering orders it receives, which has led to the
expansion of the business.
Nicola Kinloch, Business Development Manager at Olivia’s Kitchen, said, “We are delighted
to welcome all our new team members to our fast-growing operation. As one of the North-
East’s premier caterers, we are focused on delivering a complete-catering solution that
supplies quality food, whether through one of our on-site cafes or directly to businesses
requiring catering for events and meetings”.
With over ten years of catering experience, Olivia’s Kitchen has fast become one of the
region's most recognised names, diversifying its services to respond to the needs of
businesses. The catering company now provides in-house catering services to Newcastle
Building Society at Cobalt Business Park, alongside their existing sites including the North
East Business Innovation Centre (BIC), Whistl at Follingsby Business Park and Leica at
Balliol Business Park. The caterer also provides Sage Gateshead and many other well-
known businesses with high-quality catering solutions for in-house meetings and events.
Olivia’s Kitchen offers a wide-ranging menu from traditional lunches to a dedicated North-
East-focused menu consisting of local delicacies such as ham and pease pudding stotties.
Bespoke menu creations and afternoon teas have become an increasingly popular corporate
request, and with the return of Christmas parties, it is expected there will be an upturn in
Christmas orders. And, as all food is clearly labelled, businesses can feel safe in the
knowledge that all allergens and dietary requirements are catered for.
Nicola continued, “ Our success is due to the quality of what we do; we have built our
reputation on reliability and providing first-class food options. We are now looking firmly to
the future. We are focused on growing both our corporate customer base and cafe
operations and looking at options to expand further to the rest of the UK”.
