As the Chamber’s knowledge and learning programme associate sponsor, NCG is looking to forge new connections to help the region’s business community thrive and to ensure everyone in the North East can reach their potential.
The collaboration supports our stronger, fairer North East strategy which aims to deliver fair and inclusive growth for the region.
Liz Bromley, CEO of NCG, commented: “As a national learning organisation, NCG is rooted in the North East, where both our headquarters and anchor institution Newcastle College are based.
“Our role is to create life-changing opportunities for individuals and support our communities to be successful and sustainable. For us, that means working with businesses to deliver world-class training, create employment opportunities and provide access to the next generation of skilled talent.
“Becoming the North East Chamber’s knowledge and learning programme associate sponsor will allow us to expand our existing support to businesses across the region, and forge new connections with employers and the education sector, playing a key role in ensuring the North East is a fantastic place to live and work.”
Liz added: “We look forward to continuing our work supporting employers across our region with training, development and recruitment opportunities, while opening up access to our own leadership development programme to help our business community thrive.”
The Chamber’s knowledge and learning programme includes thought leadership events, lunch and learn series and online net zero series, as well as continuing professional development training.
Tim Marsden, knowledge manager at the Chamber, said: “We’re delighted that NCG is sponsoring the Chamber’s knowledge and learning programme.
“We know that high quality education and learning drives regional productivity, and makes people and communities healthier, happier and more resilient.
“By working with NCG we seek to enhance the skills pipeline to ensure local skills meet local needs – now and in the future.”
The Chamber’s programme of thought leadership events and online learning series offers a broad range of current and insightful information. It provides a space for educating and supporting the region’s businesses to ensure they can grow and prosper.
