Whether it’s a festive night out with friends, a family gathering or a corporate Christmas event, Blackfriars Restaurant offers one of the most unique and atmospheric venues in the city.
Located in a stunning 13th-century friary, Blackfriars is renowned for its festive dining in Newcastle, with beautifully decorated spaces, seasonal menus, and a cosy atmosphere that makes every occasion truly special.
Our Christmas party menu starts from £49.50 per person and includes; a welcome drink (fizz, beer, or non-alcoholic fizz), three sumptuous festive courses, mince pie, with tea or coffee.
We can host Christmas parties for up to 85 guests (subject to availability) across a variety of spaces, including our restaurant, Banquet Hall, ornate Tasting Room and Cookery School.

Cocktail Masterclasses – Shake and stir three delicious cocktails with our expert mixologists, complete with fizz on arrival and canapés, from £49.50pp (6–12 guests).

Dormitory Meeting Room – Ideal for business meetings or festive functions (up to 25 guests).
Dormitory Snug – Intimate space for 8–12 guests with a private bar.
King’s Suite – A stunning vaulted room for 12–50 guests, perfect for drinks receptions and Christmas gatherings, complete with a private bar.
