How can we use evidence more effectively to strengthen the case for social prescribing?
Healthy Communities and Social Prescribing are part of the North East and North Cumbria (NENC) Integrated Care Board’s ‘Healthier and Fairer’ programme, aimed at reducing health inequalities across the NENC region, which is a core aim of the work of Ways to Wellness - a changemaking Newcastle-based health innovation charity.
Building on community assets, and enabling local, community-based action to support the health and wellbeing of everybody in our region, will be the focus of this event looking specifically at how we can use evidence more effectively to strengthen the case for social prescribing across our region and beyond.
Ways to Wellness' Head of Digital Systems Sonia Townend and Team Lead Steffen Laukard will present the organisation's work in this area as part of a collaborative learning experience also featuring speakers from Durham Community Action, the National Academy for Social Prescribing, and Stomping Grounds.
Each speaker session will explore the central question from a different perspective, helping participants build their confidence and capability in using evidence to improve services and demonstrate impact.
Join the North East Chamber of Commerce this September and October for a three-part conference mini-series exploring how the ambitions of Unlocking the North East Economy are being translated into action.
