Tell us about a recent business success.
Now in our 8th year, Coleman James is proud to be based in Newcastle, with additional offices in London and Yorkshire. In October 2023, we inaugurated our flagship office in Doncaster, strategically located in the former ‘Wagon Works’ building at the heart of the Rail district. This move strengthens our commitment to the Rail sector and supports the expansion of our Rail division.
In the North East, our Construction, Civil Engineering, Building Services and FM divisions continue to expand. Our team’s extensive experience has enabled us to forge enduring relationships with some of the region’s most renowned firms.
Last year, we were honoured to be ranked 13th in the Ward Hadaway Fastest 50 List, which recognises the fastest-growing, independently owned companies in the region. This accolade is a testament to our team’s strength and our ethical, dynamic approach to recruitment.

From the outset, Coleman James has been an active member of the Chamber of Commerce. Early in our journey, we were thrilled to receive the Small Business of the Year award at the North East Business Awards—a recognition we still hold dear.
