This week we caught up with the team at the production company to find out how they’re going further with Chamber membership.

We are based in Gateshead.

Give us a brief overview of your business.
MOTIF is the result of two lifelong dreams to create a production company built on three values; quality, creativity, and reliability. We’ve got 20 years of experience in producing films, creating animations, and making ideas a reality. We took all the love, care, and attention we have for what we do and created MOTIF.
Tell us about a recent business success.
We’ve created documentaries for FIFA and BBC, delivered an eight part series for FIFA as well. We’re currently making a scripted comedy for BBC and were the first North East company to receive the full Emerging Indie Fund from Channel 4.
We’ve also created content for UK and global brands like Hard Rock, Utilita and many more.
We’ave also recently completed our first independent feature documentary film ‘That’s The Show’.
Since forming in 2020, we’ve won two Royal Television Society awards as well as Best Documentary in the prestigious USA One Reeler festival. Our work has been screened in cinemas and on worldwide streaming platforms as well.
Why are you a Chamber Member?
The Chamber were instrumental in helping us to develop into a company that can trade internationally when we work with FIFA. Their guidance has been vital in that pursuit.
