Cleveland Potash Limited

Cleveland Potash LTD, site name ICL Boulby, is a mining company that is situated in the North Yorkshire Moors National Park and is the deepest mine in the United Kingdom. It is one of the largest employers in the Tees Valley region, along with the North Yorkshire Moors National Park and has been a part of the local community for the last 45 years, embarking on its mission to provide Potash, which was mainly used to produce fertiliser back in 1968. ICL Boulby produces and refines natural ore that is found 1100 meters below ground for fertiliser products that are then distributed by road, rail and sea worldwide. The mine also extracts salt and provides 50% of the UK with its de-icing road salt to ensure that Britain's roads remain open.
