NWGB is a wholly owned subsidiary of Northumbrian Water Group Limited. `NWG`. NWG, via Northumbrian Water Limited ‘NWL’, operates in the north east of England, where it trades as Northumbrian Water, and in the south east of England, where it trades as Essex & Suffolk Water. NWG also provides water and waste water management with contracts in Scotland, Ireland and Gibraltar. NWGB is able to deliver competitive retail water and waste water services outside of NWL’s north east and south east regions to non-domestic water customers across England, Scotland and Wales in accordance with Section 17A(3) of the Water Industry Act (England and Wales) and under section 6(1) of the Water Services etc. (Scotland) Act 2005.
