SES Technology has joined the North East Chamber of Commerce as a Partner member, underlining its commitment to innovation, advanced manufacturing and sustainable regional prosperity in the North East.
SES Technology’s membership comes at a pivotal time for the North East. The Autumn Budget’s commitment to investing in AI Growth Zones and advanced manufacturing is a welcome boost for the region. With strong momentum in the industrial and data centre sectors, these measures can accelerate innovation and attract high-value jobs. SES Technology is ready to play its part in delivering the infrastructure that underpins this growth, supporting both local communities and the UK’s net zero ambitions.
SES Technology has a strong track record in the North East, having delivered landmark projects alongside Wates Construction such as AESC’s Sunderland gigafactory, Narec’s offshore wind and blade testing facilities, Hitachi Rail, and we are currently working on the MEP installation of SeAH Wind’s £300m offshore turbine base factory at Teesside Freeport – a 40-metre-tall facility that will play a critical role in the UK’s renewable energy future.
Eddie Tribe, Managing Director – SES Technology, commented: “We’re proud to join the North East Chamber of Commerce and work with its members to unlock the region’s potential. SES Technology is committed to delivering the infrastructure that enables innovation, supports net zero ambitions, and creates lasting social value for communities across the North East.
“We are dedicated to shaping environments that enhance lives, support thriving communities, and drive positive social, environmental, and economic impacts. This includes inspiring and educating young people about careers in the built environment, supporting the scale-up of the social enterprise sector, creating skills and employment opportunities through apprenticeships and training, and strengthening local supply chains to ensure regional businesses share in project success.”
Erin Newey, Strategic Partnerships Manager at the North East Chamber of Commerce, added: “We’re thrilled to welcome SES Technology as a Partner member. Their expertise in advanced manufacturing and data centre delivery aligns perfectly with the region’s ambitions for innovation and clean growth.”
By joining the Chamber’s Partner network, SES Technology will collaborate with leading organisations to shape the North East’s future – championing investment in advanced manufacturing and digital infrastructure while driving innovation and social value for generations to come.
