Foraging: 11:00 - 12:00 £3 per person Meet Gemma Gee, the Cramlington Forager, as she leads us on a foraging walk. Learn about the medicinal properties of plants, and how they have been used for centuries as a salve and remedy for common ailments. Mindfulness in nature: 11:00 - 12:00 £3 per person Join Michael Atkinson, mindfulness expert, for a taster session to practice mindfulness meditation. Forest bathing and nature crafting: 11:00 - 12:00 & 13:00 - 14:00 £3 per person Join a member of the NWT team for a wonderfully immersive woodland experience. Forest bathing is a Japanese mindfulness practice scientifically proven to reduce stress, involving all of the senses. As part of this session we will also collect leaves, twigs and other natural items to create a 'mindful mandala'. You will be able to take a photo of your creation as a reminder of your forest bathing experience. This is an outdoor event, please dress appropriately for the weather. Age 18+. Medicinal herb walk: 13:00 - 14:00 £3 per person Join professional Medicinal Herbalist, Davina Hopkinson, and be taken on a guided walk learning about the benefits of different kinds of plants that have been used for centuries to help heal. This is an outdoor event. Please dress appropriately for the weather conditions. Age 18+. Outdoor sound bath: 13:00 - 14:00 £6 per person Join Alison Scanlan, professional sound bath therapist, as she offers you a wonderfully immersive and potentially healing experience.
