Join us for our AGM 2026 with cross-membership networking and refreshments
Overview
Join us for our 2026 AGM with cross-membership networking and refreshments.
This event is widely attended by a broad mix of members covering all levels of seniority, size of business and mix of sectors, which represents the diverse mix of members across the Chamber network.
Established in 1815, we're the North East’s largest and most influential multi-sector business membership organisation, supporting more than 2,000 businesses.
As a member, you own a stake in this unique organisation and it’s important to ensure you have a say in how it is run.
What's the format?
While we aim to keep all our events friendly and informal, this event is more of a conference style with presentations. There will be an allocated time for refreshments and the opportunity to network informally with other Chamber members.

The formalities
Who will I meet?
This is one key annual event which is attended by the broadest mix of sectors and rep. roles, so it's a great opportunity to meet a diverse group of business people. We usually have more than 100 people at these events each year.
What should I wear?
We don’t stipulate a dress code at our events, but we’d recommend you’re comfortable and dress like you’re going to meet new clients.
Behaviour & Conduct:
Our events create an inclusive space for individuals and organisations to meet where we expect all our attendees to behave with courtesy and respect, to both each other and Chamber colleagues.
Our event is kindly sponsored by New College Durham
Join the North East Chamber of Commerce this September and October for a three-part conference mini-series exploring how the ambitions of Unlocking the North East Economy are being translated into action.
