The theme follows on from discussions at a previous Forum earlier this year, where data centres emerged as a key area of interest for members. This session provides an opportunity to revisit the topic in more detail, address some of the questions raised, and build a shared understanding of both the opportunities and considerations associated with their development.

We will hear from industry experts including Pulsant and SES Technology, alongside our hosts Womble Bond Dickinson, who will offer insight into the realities of data centre development and operation. Together, they will explore the benefits these developments can bring to the region, as well as how challenges around infrastructure, planning, and sustainability are being approached in practice.

The session will provide space for open discussion, enabling attendees to engage directly with speakers, share perspectives, and deepen their understanding of this increasingly important sector.

As with all Forum activity, this will also form part of the Chamber’s wider policy development work. Contributions from members will help shape our approach and inform our direction on development and sustainability priorities across the region.

Join us to hear expert insight, take part in the discussion, and contribute to shaping the future of this growing area of focus.
