Bitesize Session 2: Building High-Performing Teams

Successful leaders understand that lasting achievement comes through people.

Joined by keynote speaker David Hopkinson, CEO of Newcastle United Football Club, this session explores what leadership demands in high-performance environments and the vital role leaders play in creating cultures built on trust, accountability and shared ambition.

Drawing on more than 30 years of leadership experience with Maple Leaf Sports & Entertainment, Real Madrid and Madison Square Garden, David will share insights from leading organisations where expectations are high, pressure is constant and success depends on strong relationships. At Newcastle United, this means delivering an ambitious transformation plan while building a culture where energy, trust and accountability are embedded every day.

Participants will gain practical approaches to motivating and developing others, strengthening team performance and creating the connections that turn individual talent into collective success when the stakes are highest.
