Rise
Grief can affect every part of our lives, including how we feel, communicate and cope at work. This event will provide a space for an honest conversation about how employers, managers and colleagues can better understand and support people experiencing loss.
We’re honoured to welcome Lili Myers, wife of the late Dave Myers of the Hairy Bikers, as our guest speaker. As seen on ITV’s Lorraine and BBC Breakfast, Lili will share her deeply personal experience of grief and loss.
Hosted in an interview-style format, this honest and moving conversation will explore how grief affects us all and why it matters just as much in the workplace as it does at home.
We'll be discussing:
How grief affects people differently and why there's no "right way" to grieve
How managers and colleagues can respond with compassion and understanding
What organisations can do to genuinely support employees through loss
This event is ideal for managers, HR professionals, wellbeing champions and anyone interested in supporting others through grief and loss.
There will also be time for networking and an opportunity to connect with others.
Join the North East Chamber of Commerce this September and October for a three-part conference mini-series exploring how the ambitions of Unlocking the North East Economy are being translated into action.
