Give us a brief overview of your business.

Adoption Matters is a children’s charity and voluntary adoption agency established in 1947. We recruit, train and prepare individuals and families seeking to adopt and offer them ongoing support and development throughout the adoption process and for as long as they need it. We also provide support and guidance for adopted children, adopted adults and birth families and have done so for over 50 years.

Tell us about a recent business success.

As an adoption charity, we have so many successes but by far our biggest success is finding families for children who wait the longest for an adoptive family. We celebrate every single newly created or expanded family (last year we placed 91 children). We were particularly proud when we placed 5 children together (a very rare occurrence) enabling the children to grow up together in a family.

Why are you a Chamber Member?

Our aim is to raise awareness of adoption across the North East region and to build corporate partnerships where possible. Our corporate partners are very important to us. Their financial and awareness-raising support helps us to continue our vital work with adoptive families and children.

Whatever the size of your company, we can deliver meaningful and mutually beneficial partnerships that make a difference to the lives of many families. Together we will tailor the partnership to your needs to engage your workforce and create a communications plan to ensure positive PR and publicity for your company.

If you would like to support Adoption Matters you can take a few minutes to fill out our economic survey, and we will donate £1 for every survey filled out https://okt.to/R7EB4S
