This week we caught up with Elanders UK to find out how they’re going further with Chamber membership.

Our head office for the UK is in North Tyneside, but we have 5 locations in the UK.

Give us a brief overview of your business.
Elanders UK, part of the Elanders Group, is a global partner for integrated supply chain solutions with over 90 operations across 4 continents. Elanders provides flexible and agile solutions for even the most complex supply chains. We also provide our customers with value-added services such as print and packaging resources which are successfully integrated into our core business model.
What has been your top tip for keeping business going during Covid-19?
Safety first and flexibility. We introduced measures very quickly to ensure the workplace was safe and complied with social distancing and sanitising practices. Our business is very customer-focused with many operational activities. To achieve safe business continuity, we introduced a flexible working option for our office-based employees that allowed most of them to work from home. We offer such a diverse range of services. it allows us to be flexible with not only our customers but the way our business operates. For example, we now offer our spirits drinks customers not only a carton to put their spirits in, but we can add a swing tag or neck collar. We can offer storage, then pick, pack and dispatch the product direct to their customers in a branded e-commerce box, or to their stores department, via our integrated API. Affording our customers and employees a high degree of flexibility, means the multiple services provided by Elanders, makes us unique in the market and saves them money!
Why are you a Chamber Member?
We’re a Chamber member to extend our connections in the region. This helps us appreciate more about business across the North East, share our knowledge and experience and support local firms, where we can. We also just enjoy attending some of the events, expanding our network and meeting new faces!
