This week we caught up with Jonarc to find out how they’re going further with Chamber membership.
Where are you based?
Sunderland City Centre – Hope Street Xchange in the heart of Sunderland’s Cultural Quarter behind the magnificent Sunderland Empire.
How many people do you employ?
2 (although we work with lots of freelancers on projects)
Give us a brief overview of your business.
Jonarc is a full service, audience obsessive, creative agency, founded in 2016 by University of Sunderland graduate Jonny Chambers, with support from the University’s Enterprise Place. The agency provides branding, graphic design, web & digital, PR and creative content services to all kinds of businesses, with specialist services for live entertainment, culture, hospitality and leisure brands.
Clients include the BBC, the NHS, Local TV Network, Europe’s biggest theatrical entertainment company Ambassador Theatre Group, leading podcast producer Audio Always, the University of Sunderland, Together for Children and Heathrow Airport.
What has been your top tip for keeping business going during Covid-19?
During these challenging times, making sure we have an inclusive approach and attitude with colleagues, clients and Hybrid, flexible working, a mix of office and home working and virtual and in person meetings and digital first thinking. It’s the future! We were doing this well before the pandemic, but I think its so important that employers maintain the flexibility and adaptability shown during the various lockdowns and trust staff to do their best work in the way that suits them. Rigid working hours and ‘must work from the office all the time mandates’ are so 2019.
Why are you a Chamber Member?
Looking forward to expanding our network and helping member businesses with their branding and creative as well as exploring the development of our new ticketing startup with the region’s amazing tech talent. We’ve been around a little while now, so it’s about time we get the Jonarc name out there!
