Give us a brief overview of your business.
The Teesside Charity bridges the gap between the communities of Teesside. We achieve amazing things by bringing together those that can help people in need to make Teesside a better place in which to live, work and do business.
The charity’s key function is to financially support community groups and charities based within Teesside that promote social wellbeing, and provide support to those who find themselves at a disadvantage in the society they live in. These include but are not exclusively the homeless, those recovering from an addiction, the long-term unemployed, those living in poverty or living with a disability and employment schemes.
Tell us about a recent business success.
We recently announced that we have raised funds of more than £5 million since launching more than 11 years ago, with the help from our supporters, we have been able to provide essential funds to good causes operating within the Teesside area.
Why are you a Chamber Member?
The Chamber provides opportunities to meet a wide range of businesses, fellow charities from across the region, people who you get to know, like and trust and who want to help and support each other. It’s great to be able to raise awareness of the work of the charity and encourage members to spread the word and hopefully get involved.
