Newcastle College helps more than 16,000 North East students prepare for their career each year, through its focus on vocational further education, apprenticeships, employability and professional qualifications. It offers over 70 degrees through Newcastle College University Centre, designed in collaboration with regional employers to provide a real alternative to university. It holds the Teaching Excellence Framework (TEF) Silver Award, a government initiative which recognises excellence in teaching at higher education level.
