Chamber launches Business Services Ecosystem to boost member value and regional growth

The Chamber has formally launched its new Business Services Ecosystem, designed to connect members, promote local expertise and provide exclusive services to help businesses save time, reduce costs, and grow.

Unveiled at the Chamber’s AGM earlier this summer, the Ecosystem is now live with more than 40 tailored offers from a wide range of providers across twelve essential service areas – including finance, legal, health, technology, training and sustainability. The model is designed to evolve as members’ needs change, with new services and offers to be added.

At its core, the Ecosystem is about supporting businesses through the power of the Chamber network:

  • More value: access to exclusive offers and discounts not available outside Chamber membership.
  • More visibility: opportunities for providers to showcase their services to thousands of potential customers across the region.
  • More choice: flexible, responsive support shaped by member feedback and local expertise.

Jennifer Rycroft, executive director of membership and international trade, said, “The Business Services Ecosystem is a simple but powerful idea – supporting our network through our network. It connects businesses with the right providers, helps them find tailored support and creates opportunities to raise their profile.

“We’ve worked with more than 40 providers to launch an offer that covers everything from training and wellbeing to finance and sustainability. Many of these services also benefit employees directly, making membership even more valuable at every level of an organisation. Crucially, the Ecosystem is shaped by members themselves and will continue to grow and evolve as their needs change.”

John McCabe, chief executive, said, “Our mission is to make sure businesses in the North East have the tools, connections and opportunities they need to thrive. The Business Services Ecosystem is a flagship example of that, rooted in local expertise, powered by collaboration and designed to deliver real, tangible impact for our members.

“With new partners and offers being added regularly, it will only become more valuable over time.”
