Have your say on digital trade

Chance to have your input on digital trade with Malaysia and Africa

The Department for Business, Innovation, Science and Trade (BIST) is seeking views from businesses in the North East to help inform the UK's engagement on international digital trade issues, including negotiations with Malaysia on a Digital Trade Agreement and ongoing discussions at the World Trade Organisation (with particular focus on trade with Africa).

In particular, BIST are interested in hearing about your experiences of trading internationally, barriers your face, and opportunities to make trade faster, cheaper and more secure through digitalisation. This could include issues such as digital trade processes, data flows, electronic documentation, regulatory cooperation and the use of digital technologies to support trade.

Digital is not just about services

Though services clearly benefit from such negotiations and agreements, providers of goods can also benefit through initiatives such as electronic e-signatures and the digitalisation of trade documents.
