Where are you based?

We're based in the Washington Business Centre!

How many employees do you have?

We're a team of 10!

Give us a brief overview of your business.

Established over 35 years ago by Northern Electric in Newcastle city centre, e-POWER has a proud heritage of supporting the UK's energy market from its earliest steps into renewable generation.

Today, we operate independent, competitive auctions that connect renewable energy generators with energy suppliers, creating a trusted and transparent marketplace for trading renewable energy. Our auctions help generators achieve fair market value for the energy they produce, while giving suppliers access to renewable energy through a simple and efficient process.

With over 35 years of experience, e-POWER has built strong industry relationships and a deep understanding of the renewable energy market.

Tell us about a recent business success.

Although e-POWER has been established for almost 40 years, we're always looking for new ways to evolve and ensure our services continue to meet the changing needs of our customers.

Most recently, we've launched our business energy procurement service, allowing renewable energy generators who already sell their exported power through e-POWER to also secure their import energy contracts with us. It's a service our customers have been requesting for several years.

Drawing on decades of market experience and long-standing relationships with leading energy suppliers, we're able to provide expert advice, market insight and competitive, transparent pricing. We're now delighted to extend this service beyond our existing customer base, starting with fellow North East Chamber of Commerce members.

How has being a Chamber member impacted your growth and networking opportunities?

Our Account Manager, Natalie, has been incredibly supportive since we joined the Chamber. As a niche business, it was important that someone took the time to understand what we do, and Natalie has done exactly that, helping us make the most of our membership.

Since joining, we've launched our Ecosystem offering, attended a range of networking events and continued to build our profile within the North East business community, one of the main reasons we became Chamber members. Natalie also ensures we're always aware of relevant opportunities, helping us make valuable connections and maximise the benefits of our membership.

We are also proudly a service provider in the Sustainability pillar of the Chamber's Business Services Ecosystem! North East Chamber members benefit from a capped procurement commission, with a maximum uplift of 1p per kWh. This means you know exactly how e-POWER is paid for by the supplier for arranging your energy contract, giving you complete transparency and confidence that our recommendations are based on finding the right solution for your business. Alongside this exclusive offer, Chamber members receive free business energy bill validation, access to a broad supplier network, expert procurement advice, and no-obligation recommendations tailored to their energy requirements and sustainability goals. You can find our exclusive Ecosystem offer by logging into the Chamber portal here: https://www.necc.co.uk/business-services/chamber-ecosystem.html?_fr=6b384c56
